Zoi is a midwifery lecturer at City St George’s University of London. She is an experienced academic, midwife, and part-time doctoral student with a history of working in various NHS and Higher Education settings. As a midwife, Zoi is passionate about promoting the physiology of birth to optimise people’s experiences without compromising the outcomes or the quality of care. She is interested in supporting alternative birth choices, global perinatal health, advocating for service users’ needs and has a passion for sustaining midwifery-led care.
Zoi has successfully completed the Professional Midwifery Advocate course to further advance her skills in advocating for midwifery students, midwives, women/birthing people and their families to improve the wellbeing of both staff and service users. Zoi is a co-founder and board member of the Hellenic British Midwifery Association, which enables her to serve the midwifery community and to promote women’s and birthing people’s health at every level.
