The elected Board has the option to add honorary members and advisory members whose role would assist HBMA to achieve its aims, objectives and vision, and to further benefit the public through its organisational output. As this membership is granted, there will be no fee to be paid.
To become a ‘honorary’ member of HBMA, that person should:
a well-respected and established HCP, other professional or lay person who does not meet the eligibility criteria as stated above who has demonstrated expert knowledge or outstanding contribution towards HBMA’s goals and vision, or towards midwifery and maternity care.
the board will make the final decision of inviting that person of excellence and outstanding expertise and will send a formal invitation to that person stating the terms and conditions for this participation
The Honorary member has no voting rights, but they can attend an AGM.
